Born in 1995, KIM Bo-ra debuted as a child actress in the KBS2 drama series <Wedding> in 2004. She has since appeared in various shows including <Famous Seven Princesses>, <Kimchi Cheese Smile>, <My Sister>, and <Hometown Legends>, and moved to cinema in 2006 when she was given bit parts in <For Horowitz> (2006) and <The Evil Twin> (2006). In 2010, she was cast in the KBS 2 drama series <Jungle Fish 2> and impressed viewers with her portrayal of a unique and quirky character. Furthermore, she appeared in various commercials for telecommunications and food companies and was well remembered for a water purifier commercial where she yells, “Ice is coming out of our water purifier!” KIM received a more important role in the mystery drama film <Perfect Number> (2012), and also played a supporting role in <Monster> (2013). It was in 2018, though, that she rose to stardom thanks to her performance as an ultra-competitive student in the TV drama series <Sky Castle> (2018-2019), a satire of the Korean elite and their obsession with college education that proved a sensation and eventually became the highest-rated cable television show with 23%.
