After receiving a BA at Cardiff University and an MA at Warwick University in the UK, PARK Dae-hee began his producing career with the production team of <Jail Breakers> (2002). Then he worked for PARK Chan-wook’s <Oldboy> (2003) as an assistant production manager. After the huge success of the film, PARK joined Sio Film as a founding member, a production entity established by <Oldboy> producer IM Seung-yong. At Sio Film, PARK worked as production manager for three films consecutively, including <Crying Fist> (2005), <The Beast and the Beauty> (2005) and <Go Go Sister> (2006). Spending two years in developing numerous projects, he moved to Barunson Pictures when Sio Film was acquired by Barunson. PARK worked as producer of Director KIM Dae-woo’s historical melodrama <The Servant> (2010), which also led PARK to produce the same titled TV drama in 2011. Afterwards, PARK joined KIM again to establish their own production company, Iron Package, and produced KIM’s other melodrama <Obsessed> (2014), set during the Vietnam War. In the meantime, PARK has also served the Korean Film Academy for its feature-length film production division KAFA+ as supervising producer since 2012. PARK handled the production and distribution of <Mad Sad Bad> (2014), the 3D omnibus film project featuring three short films directed by RYOO Seung-wan, HAN Ji-seung and KIM Tae-yong. Recently he also completed <Dong-sang-i-mong>, another 3D omnibus film by KAFA+ as producer. Currently he is developing a script of Director KIM Dae-woo’s next project, based on a famous webtoon, <The Witch>, while attached as producer of Director HA Ki-ho’s upcoming romantic comedy <Dramatic Night> (2015).
