Director Kim Sein’s The Apartment with Two Woman, Becoming a Hot Topic at Overseas Film Festivals After the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival’s Panorama Program

Invitation to the international film festivals continues for the films of the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA)’s 14th feature film production program. KAFA’s two films, The Apartment with Two Women and Thunderbird, have been invited to the Competition section at the 24th Udine Far East Film Festival, which opens on April 22 (local time).

Kim Sein’s directorial debut, The Apartment with Two Women, has been invited to another overseas film festival, drawing more attention since the invitation to the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival’s Panorama Program in 2022.

Director Lee Jaewon’s Thunderbird depicts a night of a taxi driver running for a car full of money. Actor Seo Hyunwoo, who recently emerged as a blue-chip in the Korean film industry, plays the main character taxi driver.

The Udine Far East Film Festival held in Italy is the largest film festival in Europe that introduces Asian films. This year, among 42 films for the Competition section, 10 Korean films have entered the section, including the commercial films such as Kingmaker and Special Delivery. Also, KAFA’s The Apartment with Two Women and Thunderbird have been invited to the competition side by side, raising expectations.
