Star Teams with ARCHITECTURE 101 Director LEE Yong-ju

Four years after conquering the box office charts with both TRAIN TO BUSAN (2016) and The Age of Shadows (2016), superstar GONG Yoo is set to mark his return to the silver screen with Seo Bok (working title). The film will be the latest work from Architecture 101 (2012) director LEE Yong-ju.

The film, which updates the Chinese story of Xu Fu, is described as an action-thriller about the world’s first human clone. Several forces conspire to capture the clone in order to gain the secrets to eternal life. GONG has signed on to play Ki Heon, a former intelligence agent on the verge of death who becomes involved in the chase for the clone.

Last seen on the small screen in the TV show Goblin, GONG is known for several early romantic dramas like Finding Mr. Destiny (2010) and thrillers such as Silenced (2011) and The Suspect (2013). Meanwhile, GONG has also signed to appear opposite his TRAIN TO BUSAN co-star JUNG Yu-mi in the forthcoming drama Kim Ji-young, Born 1982 (translated title), which will also begin to shoot early next year.

Director LEE debuted with the acclaimed horror Possessed (2009) before scoring a major box office hit with the romantic drama Architecture 101.

Seo Bok will first complete its casting and pre-production process before commencing filming in the first half of 2019.
