Director and Star of EUNGYO Reunite

Director JUNG Ji-woo is reuniting with his Eungyo (2012) star KIM Go-eun, who will lead his upcoming drama Yoo Yeol’s Music Album alongside JUNG Hae-in. KIM and JUNG previously appeared together in the hit TV series Goblin, which featured KIM and GONG Yoo in the lead roles.

KIM plays the diligent Mi-soo while JUNG features as the carefree Hyun-woo, who meet by chance during the IMF Crisis of 1997 as they exchange stories over a radio program. A love is kindled between them, yet despite several chance encounters, the timing never seems to be on their side.

KIM shot to fame following her first collaboration with director JUNG Ji-woo, the acclaimed drama Eungyo. She earned a raft of Best New Actress prizes for her part in the film and went on to appear in the Cannes-invited Coin Locker Girl (2015) and Memories of the Sword (2015), among others. This summer she was seen in LEE Joon-ik’s youth comedy-drama Sunset in My Hometown

Yoo Yeol’s Music Album is yet another period film for JUNG Hae-in, who last appeared in the Joseon Era films The King’s Case Note (2017), The Age of Blood (2017) and this year’s Lunar New Year title Heung-Boo: The Revolutionist.

Meanwhile, director JUNG last helmed the court thriller Heart Blackened (2017) with CHOI Min-shik, a remake of the Chinese film Silent Witness. Yoo Yeol’s Music Album will be released at some point in 2019.

The project began production on September 1 and will be distributed by CGV ARTHOUSE.
