KIM Hyun-seok Film Also Stars JUNG Woo KIM Hee-ae
Director KIM Hyun-seok is setting a new musical biopic with stars KIM Yun-seok, KIM Hee-ae, JUNG Woo and HAN Hyo-joo. C’est si bon depicts the ups and downs of the folk music group Twin Folio, which was active from the 1960s to 80s. Though originally consisting of two members, the film will depict the group as a three-member outfit.
JUNG Woo and HAN Hyo-joo will play two members of the band in their 20s while KIM Yun-seok and KIM Hee-ae will play the same characters in their 40s. C’est si bon is the name of a music hall in Seoul.
The film will be directed by KIM Hyun-seok, who scored a hit with the romcom Cyrano Agency in 2010 but stumbled with last year’s time travel sci-fi outing AM 11:00. KIM Yun-seok, star of such hits as The Thieves (2012) and Punch (2011) and the upcoming Haemoo, will star in 80s segments along with KIM Hee-ae, a TV actress who makes her return to the big screen since 1993’s The 101st Proposition with this week’s Thread of Lies. Cold Eyes star HAN Hyo-joo and JUNG Woo, who featured in last year’s Red Family, will play their 1960s counterparts.
Filming for C’est si bon is expected to begin in May with a release to follow in winter 2014.
