Junho (Lee Dongwhi) has been in couple with Ahyeong (Jung Eunchae) for several years and are even considering getting married. Ahyeoung had to give up her artistic aspirations in order to support him, earning a living as a real estate agent, while Junho has been trying – unsuccessfully – to pass the national exam to become a civil servant. One day, as they fight over trash disposal, she suddenly tells him she wants to break up. Even though he feels sorry, knowing all too well how much she sacrificed for him, Junho finds himself unable to express his conflicted feelings. She eventually asks him to leave their house. 

A year later, Junho receives a phone call from Ahyeong. She asks him to give back her iPad. Having taken different paths, Junho is now dating a candid woman he ran into at his friend’s bar, while Ahyeong has met the perfect partner in the caring and romantic CEO of a venture investment company. Junho agrees to meet in person, but he decides against letting his girlfriend know.

Hyung Seulwoo’s debut feature started as a project for a short that he wrote six years ago, after bumping into an ex-girlfriend in the street. In order to make the story feel as authentic as possible, Hyung crammed it with situations he or his friends personally experienced. The film stars Lee Donghwi, best known in Korea as one of the leads in the hit TV series Reply 1988 as well as the comedy film phenomenon Extreme Job, while Jung Eunchae could be seen in Hong Sangsoo’s Nobody’s Daughter Haewon and the Disney+ original series Pachinko.
