Bobby, a Korean-American born and raised in New York is a struggling singer-songwriter that still lives at home with his widowed Korean mother. Bobby is presented with the opportunity to travel on a world tour as a roadie for his best friend Billy’s electro-pop band. He abandons the tour upon reaching Seoul, Korea. In Korea he seeks out a location in an old photograph that belonged to his late father, in the Hongdae part of Seoul. There he finds and befriends a girl busking, Ina who becomes his guide in Seoul and also a partner in music. They perform music together and gain an instant following. Just as things are looking positive for the duo, their rise to success comes to a halt when Ina decided to make a different choice. Bobby continues his journey in Korea without her and stays an additional 2 years. During this time he closes gaps in his life that question his heritage and his inability to feel fully accepted at home in America. His resolve is an apparent success in the end, all but for the loss of love.
