Tae-su (KIM), a promising young executive and happily married family man, loses everything overnight when he underwrites a friend's debt, which he soon defaults on. His wife cannot bear the thought of selling their posh flat and proposes divorcing on paper in order to keep the predatory creditors away. Tae-su agrees and then attempts to lay low in a small, dank guest house. There, a precocious teenager girl, Se-ra (YU), takes an interest in him, but it's not before long her father intervenes. <Home Sweet Home> is MOON Si-hyeon’s first feature film. She began as a protege of acclaimed director KIM Ki-duk, assisting with both <Time> (2006) and <Breath> (2007). Her debut has received considerable attention internationally, appearing at film festivals in Busan, Gwangju and Hong Kong.
